Namibia is located between the dunes of the Kalahari Desert and the cool South
Atlantic, Namibia is a country of wide open spaces where nomadic tribes
still roam. Wildlife has to adapt to survive here yet, even in the
desert you will find elephant, giraffe and zebra.
Etosha national park, one of the greatest wildlife viewing areas, is
dry and silvery white for most of the year yet when the rains come,
this massive saltpan becomes an immense shallow lake attracting huge
numbers of flamingos and large herds of springbok, zebra, elephant and
lion. Damaraland is a stark, beautiful landscape and home to the rare
desert elephant while the fabled Skeleton Coast covers millions of
hectares on the Atlantic Coast.
