Relax and explore the beautiful city of Cape Town before travelling at your own pace through the gently rolling landscape of the Winelands and the world famous Garden Route. This journey concludes with the chance to view the Big Five in the largest game reserve on the Eastern Cape.

Days 1–3 Cape Town
On arrival in Cape Town you will be met and assisted with the transfer to your Cape Town hotel. A trip to the top of Table Mountain is highly recommended, so if when you wake the mountain top is clear then that’s your signal to take the cable car to the summit. A full day Walk to Freedom tour is included giving a great insight into the challenges faced by the ‘rainbow nation’ and an emotive visit to Robben Island.
3 nights Four Rosmead. (BB)

Days 4-5 Winelands
Drive through the largest wine producing area in the Western Cape. Row upon row of vines crisscross the valleys and the countryside is dotted with colonial white Cape Dutch homesteads. Spend your days meandering through the delights of Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch, perhaps calling in at a couple of wineries that catch your eye.

Day 6 Oudtshoorn
Take scenic Route 62 today, one of South Africa’s most beautiful, yet least known drives. Oudtshoorn, known as the ‘feather capital’ because of its number of ostrich farms is also home to the legendary Cango Caves. Overnight Rosenhof Country House. (BB)

Days 7-8 Garden Route
Today’s drive takes you over the picturesque Outeniqua Pass to George and onwards to the coast. There are a myriad of experiences to enjoy in this region. Take the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train, which chugs its way through some of the most scenic stretches of the Garden Route.

Day 9 Port Elizabeth
Fantastic weather and the Boardwalk, fashionable shops and restaurants, makes Port Elizabeth a great place to visit.
