The exotic spice island of Zanzibar is the perfect accompaniment to the excitement of Tanzania.Steeped in history, the labyrinth of streets in Stone Town lead to colourful spice and fruit markets and wonderful architecture, reminiscent of its Arabic, African and European heritage. The white sand beaches and coastal waters are the perfect place to relax.

Tanzania is home to the Serengeti, perhaps the most breathtaking park in Africa, and along with Ruaha National Park, and Stream National Parks make great places for a safari and a wealth of natural wonders including Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, Mt Kilimanjaro and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater there are quite simply too few superlatives to describe Tanzania. The annual migration is possibly one of the greatest sights on earth. Herds of up to 2 million wildebeest closely followed by zebra, antelope and of course the obligatory predators can be seen streaming through the park in search of fresh green pastures.

Best times to go:
The best months for watching the Great Migration in the Serengeti are from May to July when the plains are fresh and green, and November to March when the wildebeeste return to calve. The southern parks are good all year round, although especially in the dry months from July to October which in our view is the best time to visit the country.

Tanzania's equatorial climate brings two seasons of rain each year - the long rains in April and May and the short rains in November.  Termperatures from June to October are hot and dry with low humidity.  December to March is increasingly hot  and humid with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 34°C.
