Victoria Falls are not the highest in the world but are certainly the most spectacular and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. Choose from the myriad of activities from white water rafting, bungee jumping and flights over the falls to sunset cruises, game drives, hiking trails and elephant back safaris.What you need to knowYou can view the Falls from both the Zimbabwean and Zambian side and visas are required for visiting both. April and October are the best times to visit when it is warmer by day and cooler by night.Our opinion

• Walk to the base of the falls for a different aspect. One of the best places for a close up is Knife Edge Point.

• A glimpse of the falls crowning glory, a rainbow, will be a highlight to any visit.

Best times to go:
Victoria Falls is spectacular throughout the year, but the best time to visit is from February to May, after the rainy season. This is when you'll see the greatest flow of water - although it may be a little difficult to photograph the Falls up close without getting your camera (and yourself!) wet.

The weather at Victoria Falls is generally hot and dry.  At the end of the dry season, (October and November) the Falls are at their least impressive, and this is also the time of year when temperatures remain uncomfortably hot throughout the day and night.
