The Northern Territory, or 'The Territory' as it is known holds a deep spiritual meaning to the Aboriginal people and many sacred sited abound with rock art dating back thousands of years.Whilst 'the Territory' is probably best known for Uluru, or Ayers Rock as it was previously known, the world's largest monolith, in The Red Centre, everywhere you travel there are awe inspiring sights to take your breath away: The ancient sandstone walls of Kings Canyon that tower skyward to the Lost City, the vast plains in the south and the tropical paradise in the north.

Northern Territory is a year-round destination, but take into account extreme summer heat in the inland region and the heat, humidity and rainfall during the wet season of the Top End.

In the tropical Top End, daytime temperatures average between 30 and 35 degrees all year round. The dry season (May – October) has sunny days while the wet season (November – April) is hot and humid with tropical storms. Away from the coast, there are four distinct seasons. Winter (June – August) has warm days and cool nights while summer (December – February) is very hot with temperatures in the high 30s.
