Join the Kubirri Warra brothers on Cooya Beach for an enlightening walk that shows you how to spear throw, stalk and observe the wildlife and country and track the coastal resources whilst following the traditions of their ancestors.
Explore the Daintree with a cruise along the mighty Daintree River and visit the spectacular Niau Falls on Tranquillity, a pristine natural wonder. Overnight at Cape Tribulation before continuing on the BAMA Way through the heart of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park. Travel by 4WD on the Bloomfield Track the Bloomfield Falls and Wujal Wujal, here traditional custodians from he Walker family will share some of their knowledge of this sacred place. After lunch at a famous Aussie bush pub, the Lions Den continue on to Cooktown.
The next day join Nugal-warra Elder, Willie Gordon for the Rainbow Serpent Tour. Willie is the traditional storyteller of the Nugal-warra clan and he will take you to Nugal rock art sites high in the hills above Hope Vale. Hearing the stories that only the Elders of the Nugal-warra clan can tell learn how the painting speak the essence of life and lore of the people. This is a truly amazing insight into the society and spirituality of the Aboriginal people. This afternoon travel through the spectacular scenery of Far Northern Queensland’s Outback as you return back to Cairns.
