Adelaide
Arrive into Adelaide and enjoy a few days exploring this charming city. The leafy tree lined streets of North Adelaide hide elegant architecture, lively street cafes and an abundance of boutiques and galleries. Hop on the tram to the beachside suburb of Glenelg or out into the magnificent wine regions that surround Adelaide. The natural beauty of Kangaroo Island is just a short flight or ferry crossing and is unlike anywhere else in Australia. The slower pace of life plays host to small country towns, rich local produce and a thriving arts and crafts scene and this is the place to see native Australian wildlife in its natural habitat. Kangaroos graze contentedly in paddocks, koalas snooze in trees and the marine life is second to none.We have included a day tour of Kangaroo Island in this itinerary, however if time allows we definitely recommend that you try and stay for at least a night.

Adelaide to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road
The next five days cover one of the finest coastal drives in the world – the Great Ocean Road. From South Australia head north through the wine region of the Coonawarra to Victoria. Follow a road seemingly carved from the rock itself around the twisting coastline where magnificent rock formations rise from the pounding ocean below.

Melbourne
The city of Melbourne is energetic, vibrant and filled with attractions. There are a plethora of art galleries and museums to explore and the tram provides an easy and fun way to get around. The suburb of South Yarra is elegant and sophisticated and filled with exclusive boutiques and wonderful restaurants. The beachside resort of St Kilda is lively and colourful and great to explore. Melbourne is surrounded by world class wine regions and we have included a guided experience to the Yarra Valley with a wine specialist.
3 nights: The Lindrum
Hobart
It’s just a short hop from Melbourne to Hobart, Tasmania’s capital city and your base for the next few nights. Hobart boasts a vibrant waterfront, wonderful architecture, history and is a joy to explore. The colourful Salamanca Market held every Saturday morning showcases local produce with arts and crafts in abundance and is the perfect place to pick up a few momentos of your time in Hobart. The city is also a great base from which to explore. Mt Field National Park is within easy reach as is the historical site at Port Arthur and we have included a full day guided experience here.

Strahan
Set on Tasmania’s west coast, the sleepy riverside village of Strahan is best known as the gateway to the Gordon River and you really need to spend a couple of nights here to explore fully.We have included a cruise on the Gordon River, which will take you through temperate rainforest to the mouth of Macquarie Harbour. See Hell’s Gate, where the river meets the mighty Southern Ocean and visit Sarah Island, a feared penal colony. Walk among the ruins as your guide brings the past alive.

Cradle Mountain
Rugged and dramatic where cascading waterfalls tumble down deep ravines and wildlife appears at every turn. Spend a few days exploring the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and see Tasmania at it’s wildest and most beautiful.
