The mighty Murray flows 650km through the centre of Southern Australia passing historic river towns, farmland, fun parks and the lagoons of the Coorong on its way to the Southern Ocean.
Honey coloured sandstone cliffs tower above and red gums shade its
banks whilst in its depths, Murray cod lurk. Inland is the famous,
often impenetrable, mallee scrub and the unforgiving outback with its
frontier mining towns like Coober Pedy where 80% of the population
happily live underground to escape the scorching sun.
