North of Adelaide, the Clare and Barossa Valleys are the premier
winegrowing regions of South Australia.Where once men mined for copper
merino sheep now graze. Clare, with its rolling hills and pretty
churches has been likened to Tuscany whilst Barossa, with its large
German community, a piece of the Fatherland. There’s even The Kaiser
Stuhl Conservation Park which is noted for its excellent bushwalking.
Wherever you are though, you’ll enjoy gourmet food, fine wine and a
picturesque rural landscape but of course, the sea is never far away
and a visit to the Yorke Peninsula is a must.
