Churchill > Northern Lights & Winter Festival in Churchill
Day 1: Arrive in Winnipeg. Overnight: Sheraton Four Points Hotel
(attached to the Winnipeg International Airport).
Day 2: Fly to Churchill in the morning. Embark on a Town and Area Tour
along with a tour of one of the largest collections of Inuit artifacts
in the world, the Eskimo Museum. Check into a Churchill Hotel with time
to enjoy the Aurora Festival before you are transferred to the Tundra
Buggy Launch Site to enjoy an evening out on a Tundra Buggy to gaze at
the northern lights accompanied by a local guide. Hot beverages are
served as well as a light snack.
Day 3: Throughout the day enjoy the festivities the Aurora Festival has
to offer. Visit gift shops, visit with the locals or embark on your own
adventure. When the evening comes it's time to view one of the amazing
wonders of the world from the Aurora Domes. You will be transported to
and from the domes where you are in the comfort of a heated building
and have the knowledge of a local guide. Hot beverages are served as
well as a light snack.
Day 4: Enjoy a Parks Canada presentation along with a Snowmobile
Excursion that will take you to a heated tent for traditional tea and
snacks. After enjoying more of the Aurora Festival in you will be
transferred out to the Tundra Buggy Launch Site to view the Aurora
Borealis one last time. Hot beverages are served as well as a light
snack.
Day 5: Your day will begin with a Cultural Arts Presentation. Later in
the day you will attend the The Hudson Bay Quest Banquet.
Day 6: Enjoy a traditional dog sledding ride before leaving Churchill
and heading back to Winnipeg. Overnight: Sheraton Four Points Hotel.
Day 7: Depart Winnipeg at your leisure after breakfast.
