This once in a lifetime experiences brings you face to face with the great arctic polar bear. On the western shores of Hudson Bay, from a town accessible only by rail or air, this winter adventure is one that connects you with nature like never before.
After an overnight stay in Winnipeg fly north to Churchill, here towards the middle of October, the polar bears gather patiently waiting for the Hudson Bay to freeze. Spend three nights in Churchill enjoying time to explore with a visit to the Eskimo Museum, a town and orientation tour and experience the thrill of a dog sledding trip. The true highlight of this tour however is the two full days spent out on the tundra, polar bear viewing from the comfort of the Tundra Buggy®. These incredible buggies meander over a system of established trails, stopping at leisure to marvel at the scenery and the wildlife and in addition to the polar bears it is common to see caribou, arctic fox and red fox. These adventures are designed to showcase the wildlife but also the unique scenery, culture and traditions of the region.
