This most scenic of railways was built in 1898 through some of North America's most ruggedly beautiful terrain. The railway was an engineering triumph of its time and greatly assisted in opening up the goldfields of the Klondike.
Today, you travel in comfort in restored carriages with a guided commentary through craggy mountainsides, past rushing torrents and over trestle bridges through some of the most varied and magnificent scenery of Alaska and the Yukon. Travel between Skagway, Alaska and either Fraser, B.C. or Carcross in the Yukon. Journey time is approximately 2 hours.
