is so much more to Cambodia than Angkor Wat and Phnom Penh. Get off the
beaten track to some of Cambodia's more remote and dramatic areas. From
lush scenery and friendly smiles to a wealth of archaeological sites,
culminating with the Angkor complex.
Day 1 Phnom Penh Arrive
in the capital and visit Phnom Penh's main attractions including the
National Museum, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. (L)
Day 2 Phnom Penh Explore
this ever changing metropolis, taking in Wat Phnom and the Russian
Market as well as the Tuol Sleng Museum and the poignant Killing
Fields. Today is a day that looks back into the past and forwards into
the future of these enchanting people. (B,L)
Day 3 Phnom Penh - StungTreng Transfer
to Stung Treng and take a boat ride out to Thala Bariwatt historical
site. Stung Treng marks Cambodia’s northern border with Laos and the
point where the Mekong River enters Cambodia. Originally a part of
Laos, Stung Treng switched to Cambodian ownership during the French
period and to this day you hear Lao spoken in town. (B,L)
Day 4 StungTreng - Banlung Today
drive to Banlung, capital of Ratanakiri Province. There is chance to
swim in Boeng Yeak Lom Lake before heading to Cha OngWaterfall. At the
end of the day climb Eisey Pak Ta Mak mountain to admire the sunset.

Day 5 Banlung Today drive to Ven Sai village to meet some ethnic minority groups. Afterwards visit Ka ChanhWaterfall. (B)
Day 6 Banlung - StungTreng - Kratie This
morning transfer via Stung Treng to Kratie and take a boat to see the
endangered fresh water Irrawaddy dolphins in the Mekong River. As few
as 80 dolphins remain and while there are ongoing and comprehensive
conservation projects underway, dolphin mortality remains high.
Dolphins aside, Kratie province is known for its untouched riverside
scenery, quaint villages and rice paddies and for some of the best
Mekong sunsets in the country. (B)
Day 7 Kratie - Kompong Cham En
route to Kompong Cham, stop at a rubber plantation and the historical
hill temples of Phnom Srei and Phnom Pros. Kompong Cham is perhaps
gateway to the real Cambodia - a land of fishing communities, pretty
wats and picturesque villages. (B)
Day 8 Kompong Cham - Siem Reap Before
arrival in Siem Reap, explore Sambor Prei Kuk Temple Group, an
important cultural and historical site and one rarely visited by
tourists. (B,L)
Day 9 Angkor Complex Prepare
to be stunned as you start your exploration of the magnificent and
utterly awe inspiring Angkor Complex, beginning with Angkor Thom. This
afternoon enter the temple of AngkorWat and see sunset from Phnom
Bakheng. (B,L)
Day 10 Angkor Complex Continue
your discovery of the Angkor Complex with Banteay Srei, Ta Prohm and
Banteay Kdei temples. Later take in the “big circuit” containing Preah
Kanh, Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup temples. Each temple is
completely individual and captivating in its own right. (B,L)
Day 11 Siem Reap -Tonle Sap Today
head for Tonle Sap Lake, SE Asia’s largest lake and visit a floating
village as well as Artisans D'Angkor, a local carving school. Finish
your comprehensive stay at Angkorwith the Rolous Temple Group. (B,L)
Day 12 Depart Siem Reap Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
