A sublime cruising experience through the heart of southern Laos, soak

Day 1 Pakse Depart
from Pakse and float south aboard a long-tail riverboat arriving in
Champassak in time for lunch. Enjoy a tour of the mysterious
pre-Angkorian 10th Century temple of Vat Phou, your boat’s namesake. As
dusk falls casting ethereal colours across the sky, board your
vessel, home for the next 2 nights as you cruise down stream. Dinner is
served as the boat docks for the evening at a remote Loa village.
Day 2 4000 Islands After
breakfast continue down river to the village of Huai Thamo, which is
just a short stroll from the spectacular, hidden temple of Oum Moung.
The wild paradise known as the ‘4000 Islands’ is your destination this
afternoon. Visit Khong Island and the village of Muang Kong where the
traditional village life has remained unchanged for centuries. Dine
under the stars before retiring for the evening to the gentle sounds of
the river.
Day 3 Pakse Explore
the French colonial relics of Si Phan Don and lunch then a visit to Pha
Pheng waterfalls before your road transfer back to Pakse.
