Another great option is the Hahei Explorer.
The Hahei Explorer (established in 1992) is a state-of the-art rigid hull inflatable boat. The Explorer trip is an hour long, travels up to 12kms, and takes the visitor into coastal Islands of the marine reserve, reefs, massive sea caves and bays, including the world famous Cathedral Cove. The magnificence of this natural Volcanic scenery is legendary and the approach by sea, combined with an insightful yet relaxed commentary further enhances the experienceMarine life is all around and can be experienced close up because the boat is right in amongst the natural scenery. Smell the seaweed, watch gannets dive headlong around the islands, reach and touch the rainbow coloured rock formations and hear stories of Maori encampments!

If the tide is right head to Hot Water Beach and dig your own spa!!Otherwise drive around to Whitianga and experience The Lost Spring. The Lost Spring is a unique thermal hot water and spa experience located on New Zealand’s Pacific coast. With its sculpted pools, soothing waterfalls, and smoking volcano, the Lost Spring offers more than simply a swim in hot water. The smooth rocks, hidden gemstones, and dense foliage blend with the geothermal spring to tell a New Zealand story, the story of the birth of the CoromandelPeninsula. Relax in one of the pools flowing with crystal clear water from a well 644 meters below the earth’s surface. Revitalize in the day spa where a variety of healing treatments are offered in an exquisite setting. Explore the remarkable grounds planted with lush native New Zealand bush and tropical plants.

Harley Davidson Coromandel Tour
A splendid day of cruising the spectacular Pacific Coast Highway around the Coromandel Peninsula, taking in the stunning coastal scenery, unrivalled beaches and dramatic views on this fantastic drive through the winding roads of the Coromandel. The mountain backbone of the peninsula is made up of rugged volcanic peaks and steep gorges shrouded in dense native bush.

The morning is spent heading south from Tairua along the stunning coastline of the Coromandel, through the seaside town of Whangamata, before arriving at the gold mining town of Waihi, with an operating gold mine in the centre of town! After a stop in Waihi to have a look at the gold mine we continue our journey cruising through the amazing Karangahake Gorge, with the Ohinemuri River winding through it, another place for a stop and a wander across the swinging bridges to the other side of the gorge. We then are back on the bikes and head up the west coast of the Coromandel, taking in the coastal township of Thames and then taking in the western coast road of the Coromandel Peninsula, with its stunning views out across the Hauraki Gulf and out across towards Auckland, which you can see in the distance on a clear day.

We will stop up this coast for a well earned lunch break before continuing our journey to the idyllic Coromandel township with time to explore this wonderful town before continuing our journey around the top of the peninsula, dropping back into Tairua at the end of the day.
