After a leisurely home cooked breakfast join the boat Taranui for a day trip, exploring along the Abel Tasman National Park's coastline; past Split Apple Rock, Kaiteriteri, Marahau, round golden sandy bays, Adele and Fishermans Islands and on to Tonga Island seal colony.

After saying goodbye to the seals we find a sheltered bay for a light lunch. You can swim, sea kayak, go ashore for a bush walk, or just relax on Taranui while we prepare your lunch. There is plenty of snorkelling equipment if you are keen to work up an appetite and kayaks on board for your enjoyment. Tonight your dinner reservation is at the award winning restaurant, Bouterey’s.  

After a home cooked breakfast on the homestead verandah, Noel from New Zealand Nature Tours will take you on a wonderful day trip to a remote part of New Zealand called Golden Bay. 

Golden Bay in a Day is the ultimate guided day journey to iconic sites that make this region so special and diverse. After driving through the historic Moutere region on route to the top of Marble Mountain where the views in all directions open up, the first of several short but easy walks becomes the first geological adventure through granite rock formations, a truly interesting mixed forest with beautiful birdsong in the air.

Passing between Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks we arrive at Pupu Springs with the clearest water in the world is special but this reserve also contains remnants of gold mining and many different forest types.At the Abel Tasman memorial the early historic stories unfold before lunch on a golden sand beach but what usually leaves the visitor overawed and totally fascinated is a walk in to an almost secret reserve. The water worn rock formations and the strange and unique trees together with amazing stories will not fail to fire the imagination and leave any visitor inspired, delighted and wanting to come back.
