The South American rainforest of the Amazon is the largest and most species rich in the world, representing over half of the planet’s remaining rainforest, in over 8 million square kilometres of dense tropical forest. Brazil is home to 60 percent of this forest and the capital of its Amazonas state, Manaus is the main gateway to explore it further.
Day 1 Manaus
Arrival in Manaus.
Day 2 Manaus - Amazon
Transfer to Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge and enjoy a tour through the Anavilhanas archipelago by boat with alligator spotting. (B,L,D)
Day 3 Amazon
Enjoy a hike through the jungle observing the native flora and fauna. Visit the pink dolphins and regional craft shops in Novo Airao. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Amazon
Enjoy a canoeing trip through the local creeks and flooded forest. (B,L)
Day 5 Amazon - Manaus
Enjoy some free time before transfer back to airport. (B)
