Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu - Pantanal - Buenos Aires - El Calafate - Bariloche

Be awe inspired by both natural and urban delights as you discover the vibrant bustle of beautiful chic cities, which sit in stark contrast to the remote calm of the serene wetlands, lakes, forests and glaciers.

Day 1 Rio de Janeiro
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro.

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
Enjoy a half day city tour which includes a visit to Sugar Loaf Mountain. The view overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro is one of the most spectacular views of the world and one you will never forget. Your afternoon is free at leisure to enjoy this wonderful city. (B)

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro
Enjoy a half day tour of the beaches and Corcovado. In the Cosme Velho district board the cogwheel train, which takes you through the Tijuca Forest to the top of the Corcovado Mountain. At the top of Corcovado you will stand next to one of the Modern World Wonders: The Statue of Christ the Redeemer. From here you will have a divine view of Rio and Sugar Loaf. On your return to your hotel you will see some of the most beautiful beaches in Rio. Once again your afternoon is free at leisure to explore or relax on Copacabana beach. (B)

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguazu. (B)

Day 5 Iguazu
Visit of the Brazilian and Argentinean side of the falls, walking along the paths following cascades and very close to the bottom of the Devil's Throat. On the Argentinean side you will stop at the Visitors Centre and proceed from there to the Superior Circuit, the up-river cascades, the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls. Then take the Ecological Jungle Train that leads you to The Devil's Throat. (B)

Day 6 Iguazu - Cuiaba - Pantanal
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuiaba. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your lodge. After dinner, you will be introduced to the activities of the following days. (B,D)

Day 7 Pantanal
Enjoy horseback trail riding in the jungle to the edge of the Siá Mariana bay. Year round, a large variety of birds, animals and reptiles can be observed. Take a boat safari on the Mutum River and nocturnal animal spotting by jeep. (B,L,D)

Day 8 Pantanal
Enjoy an ecological walk through the jungle and open fields to observe animals and birds. Having the largest diversity of bird species in the world, the Pantanal is especially interesting for bird watching. Take a boat trip down the Mutum River banks, Siá Mariana bay and Chacororé bay. Stop to see the sunset at Siá Mariana bay and for some piranha fishing*. In the evening, enjoy cayman feeding and nocturnal animals spotting. (B,L,D)
*Accordingly to the law, fishing is forbidden from October to March.

Day 9 Pantanal - Cuiaba - Buenos Aires
An early 4:30am start to enjoy canoeing on the Mutum river whilst watching the sunrise and enjoying the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in the Pantanal. Return to the lodge, for a sad farewell before transferring to the airport. (B)

Day 10 Buenos Aires
Enjoy a half day city tour discovering Buenos Aires’ highlights of the imposing Parliament building to the colourful La Boca and Recoleta, one of the most exclusive areas of the city. (B)

Day 11 Buenos Aires
Enjoy a day free at your leisure in this beautiful city. (B)

Day 12 Buenos Aires - El Calafate
Transfer to the airport for your flight to El Calafate. (B)

Day 13 El Calafate
Enjoy a full day Perito Moreno Glacier tour, a must for all visitors to Argentina. On entering the Andean Patagonian forest, stop at the Curva de los Suspiros, to enjoy the first panoramic view of the Perito Moreno Glacier. (B)

Day 14 El Calafate
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the town on your own or take an optional tour. (B)

Day 15 El Calafate - Bariloche
Transfer to the airport for your flight to San Carlos de Bariloche. (B)

Day 16 Bariloche
Embark on a half day tour of the forests, lakes and mountains which surround Bariloche. Visit areas such as Campanario Hill where you have the option to take a chair lift to enjoy one of the most impressive views of this region. Continue to lakes Nahuel Huapi and Moreno, the Trebol lagoon, St Peter’s Peninsula, Llao Llao, Victoria Island and Otto, Lopez, Goye and Catedral Mountains. Later return to Bariloche for the rest of your day at leisure. (B)

Day 17 Bariloche
A free day at your leisure to explore the city or simply relax. (B)

Day 18 Bariloche - Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. (B)
