Rio de Janeiro - Ouro Preto - Iguazu - Pantanal - Salvador

Day 1 Rio de Janeiro
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro and enjoy a half day city tour including the cable car ascent of the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain. (B)
Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
Depart for the Cosme Velho Station and board a cog-train for the ride through Tijuca Forest to Corcovado Mountain where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. After appreciating the breathtaking view descend and continue passing by some of Rio’s famous beaches. Later enjoy a Samba show, starting with a wonderful barbecue dinner followed by a colourful folklore and carnival show to the beat of the Brazilian samba. (B,D)

Day 3 Rio De Janeiro - Ouro Preto
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Belo Horizonte and onward transfer to Ouro Preto. (B)

Day 4 Ouro Preto
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Ouro Preto's highlights, visiting the churches of Our Lady of the Pillar and Saint Francis of Assisi and also the Oratorio Museum, the Museum of the School of Mines and the Opera House. Lunch is included in a typical "mineiro" food restaurant, an opportunity to taste the region's farm style savoury dishes. (B,L)

Day 5 Ouro Preto - Iguazu
Transfer to the airport and onward flight to Iguazu. (B)

Day 6 Iguazu
Visit the Argentinean side of the falls to witness the most impressive observation point at the top of The Devil's Throat. Later continue to the Brazilian side of the falls and follow the cascades that take you very close to the bottom of the Devil’s Throat, to again enjoy magnificent views from a different perspective. (B)

Day 7 Iguazu - Cuiabá - Pantanal
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuiabá. On arrival at Cuiabá you will transfer to the Pantanal lowlands. (B,D)

Day 8 Pantanal
Spend the morning relaxing and enjoying your spectacular surroundings. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a boat safari on the Mutum River. In its crystal clear water it is possible to see giant otters, stingrays and huge schools of small fish. Return to the lodge for dinner, followed by nocturnal animal spotting. (B,L,D)

Day 9 Pantanal
An early rise at 4:30am to enjoy sunrise and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn whilst canoeing on the Mutum river. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then join a boat ride to Cuiabá Mirim, a small village of fishermen located on the Cuiabá river banks. Later enjoy a jeep ride of the local area to observe the local flora and fauna. (B,L,D)

Day 10 Pantanal
Enjoy horse riding and a boat trip down the Mutum river to Siá Mariana Bay and Chacororé bay, stopping on the way back to the Lodge to see the sunset at Siá Mariana bay. (B,L,D)

Day 11 Pantanal - Cuiabá - Salvador da Bahia
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Salvador. (B)

Day 12 Salvador Da Bahia
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Salvador and its principal historical landmarks with the afternoon free at your leisure. (B)

Day 13 Salvador da Bahia
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight back home. (B)
