Coral Coast

The Coral Coast, offering 80km of coral reef beaches, stretches along the south west coast and was one of the first areas in Fiji to be developed for tourism due to it’s temperate climate.

There are some amazing surf beaches along this coastline and the pristine waters and coral reefs offer some great snorkelling and diving.

The off shore island of Vatulele, just 12 square miles in size, boasts spectacular white sand beaches and is surrounded by coral reef.

Further east, beyond the Coral Coast lies Pacific Harbour and the beautiful Beqa Lagoon. Renowned for some of Fiji’s best dive sites, the lagoon is actually an extinct volcano crater.

Fiji has a mild tropical climate throughout the year with cool trade winds blowing from the east southeast keeping the temperatures nice and pleasant.  The average day temperature in Fiji is a balmy 25°C, with temperatures much cooler in the mountainous regions of the bigger islands.
