Health, Hygiene and Safety Hong Kong is now prohibited in most enclosed public places, as well as outdoor beaches/swimming pools. There are strict laws in place to protect the environment, such as large fines for littering. The effective police support makes this city an extremely safe place during the day and night. As with most large cities we advise you to attend to your belongings carefully in public places, and ignore people making dubious offers in order to distract you from them.
The health measures in Hong Kong are of high standard. Temperatures are taken upon arrival at the airport, and Hong Kong Government assures visitors any emergency treatments will receive the care they require. There is the option to be billed later which travel insurance will cover. |
