Location Your driver will collect you in the cosmopolitan city of San Francisco and travel across the famous Golden Gate Bridge, through the natural environment that is Marin County, towards the beautiful Sonoma and Napa wine country. In less than an hour you will find yourself at the birthplace of California’s famed wine industry, Sonoma Valley and nearby Napa Valley.
Accommodation The charming mission-style Doubletree Sonoma Resort will be your home for three nights. Situated on 22 acres between two championship golf courses, it has an elegant restaurant and wine bar, comfortable lounge with open fire, heated garden courtyard, swimming pool with Jacuzzi and terrace – a quiet haven for relaxing after a busy day.
Facilities & Activities Tour this beautiful area, visit celebrated wine producers and enjoy six wine tastings at several vineyards along the way. With so many to choose from, your experience will include tastings at family owned vineyards where you will learn about the farming traditions that are unique to winemaking plus visits to well known vineyards. A journey onboard the Napa Valley Wine Train following the historic train route built back in 1867 is also included. The 26 mile journey starting at Napa Valley station, journeys through famous wine valleys to the charming town of St Helena and then loops back to Napa Valley. It’s quite a treat to travel in the beautiful vintage carriages that offer a taste of a bygone era and are lavishly decorated. After three days of discovery and adventure, your driver will escort you back to San Francisco.
