Day 1 Washington, DC to Shenandoah Depart Washington, DC and discover why this region is known as “Virginia’s crowning glory.” Your route takes you through lush rolling countryside, past gracious horse farms to the Shenandoah National Park.
Day 2 & 3 Shenandoah Valley With more than 500 miles of hiking trails, you can relax and explore the lush forests, streams, waterfalls and wildflowers. Amble along a beautiful bridle path on a guided horseback ride, or hike the Appalachian Trail. Nearby is Luray Caverns, the largest caverns on the east coast of the USA. Skyland Resort sits near the highest point on the Skyline Drive offering breathtaking views of the valley and comfortable guest rooms or cosy cabins.
Day 4 Shenandoah Valley – Washington, DC Take a leisurely drive back to Washington, DC and return your hire car.
